As the instructional designer for UAA’s Robust Online Learning grant, I work with faculty teams to develop online master course shells and culturally-responsive learning activities that help all UAA’s students succeed. In the evenings, I also teach Managerial Communications (CIS 280) in the College of Business & Public Policy.
FACTS ABOUT ME
I love finding new ways to integrate concepts and connect people. When I was in ninth grade at Steller, I started taking Russian at UAA and it sent me on an exciting, circuitous path… back to UAA. I earned my doctorate at UC Berkeley, with a dissertation on the identity and communication strategies of Soviet ethnic minorities, then taught Russian language, literature, and culture for several years at Tulane University in New Orleans. I’m thrilled to be home again, working with Alaska’s diverse communities and our committed faculty.
